The Farmer and the Snake
Once upon a time, there was a farmer who was walking through his field when he came across a snake lying in the grass. The snake was injured and in pain, so the farmer took pity on it and picked it up to take it home and care for it.
When the farmer got home, he placed the snake in a warm spot and gave it some food and water. The snake began to feel better and started to slither around. The farmer watched the snake with curiosity, amazed by the way it moved and the patterns on its skin.
But as the farmer was watching the snake, it suddenly turned and bit him on the hand. The farmer was shocked and hurt, and he asked the snake why it had done such a thing.
The snake replied, "You knew I was a snake when you picked me up. It is in my nature to strike when threatened, and I cannot change that."
The farmer realized that the snake was right. He had taken a risk in helping the snake, knowing that it was a dangerous creature. He had hoped that by showing kindness and care, he could change the snake's nature. But he was wrong.
The moral of the story is that some people are inherently dangerous or harmful, and will always behave in a certain way, no matter how kind or caring we are towards them. It is important to be cautious and aware of potential danger, even when we're trying to help others. We should not expect to change people's fundamental nature, but rather accept them for who they are and act accordingly to protect ourselves and others.
